Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid have done another great job for Siltronics preventative maintenance program. On this last trip they were able to address all the doors on campus. For the first time I felt that if someone had to get out of any building in a hurry, the doors would not be a problem. If you asked the boys, they would say that we had more than one door that would not work or open.

I just wanted to call you this morning and tell you that dollar for dollar the biggest value we got out of everything we had done is the interlocking weather stripping that Jared installed yesterday. I have never seen anything so precise and beautiful and they were here for 11 hours and the door is gorgeous and it was a bargain. It was the best money we spent on our whole remodeling project and everything was cleaned up when they left. It was a joy working with you and I wanted you to know I will never hesitate to recommend your company to anybody because it was just an absolutely A++ job. So thanks again, it was wonderful working with you.

Eleven years ago, (it is now 2015) we found Gordon and Pamela Anderson and their son, Jared, of Anderson Door and Window Mechanics. At the time, our heating/air conditioning bills were enormous, as all of our windows were the original single-pane variety where the prior owners had covered the 5 windows that overlook Lake Oswego with an outer glass cover with a space in-between. During the winter, there was lots of moisture, trapped in-between the two. Further complicating matters was the fact that the windows were all non-standard. In all, we had the Andersons replace twelve windows, one of which was ten feet in height with the top matching an angled roofline. Plus, we replaced the front door (with glass insert) with a side-light window, a standard door with glass insert out to the deck on the lake, replaced a single pane slider with French Doors with glass inserts out to the deck on the lake, and installed a very large slider from the Master Bedroom leading out to the deck on the lake for a total of 12 windows two doors, one slider and one set of French Doors. Their work was impeccable, our house was always clean, inside and out, and we lived in the house during the construction, which was a piece of cake. These guys are really good. Our energy bills were reduced by 60%. The new insulated glass was guaranteed for ten years, and during that time, we had two window failures, one in the tenth year. They were replaced in a very timely fashion with a smile on their faces. This is a true testament to the quality of their products, their service, and most importantly, their word. We could not be happier with what they did for us.

The hinges you installed are working well and I like the way they look. You were very courteous, worked hard and cleaned up well. I am ordering this same operation to be done at another store.

We have asked Anderson Door Mechanics to assist us in doing service work in the Portland area and also traveling to the coast and Central Oregon. We seek a company that will live up to our standards of quality and Anderson Door Mechanics will be a welcome addition to our field operations. We have an extensive service training program and Anderson has showed us that they will be a valuable asset to our service operation here in the Northwest. I had some dry rot to be repaired on my front door and therefore decided to leave the house for two days while the work got done. Tony showed up on time, was very professional and I had absolutely no issues leaving a key to my house with him. He called me when he finished each day to let me know the house was secure and the status of the job. The work he did not only repaired the frame rot, but he went over and above by priming the outside new wood, so it would not be exposed to the wonderful Oregon rain even though prime and paint was not part of the contract. The price was fair for the quality of work done. I would certainly recommend Anderson Door & Window Mechanics.

Our home is a 1910-1911 Craftsman in downtown Hillsboro. I can’t tell you how pleased I am with the experience I’ve had with your window repair company! The men who came out to perform the work were the most professional, friendly and courteous contractors I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. The first day they were here, they called in advance to tell me when they would arrive, and when the work was complete, they showed me everything that had been done. Throughout the project, they kept their work area clean, and were very careful to protect my home and my belongings from damage while work was underway. Anderson Door and Window Mechanics is currently working for us in the Portland Oregon area as a door and window installer for the Tigard Home Depot # 4002.
As the largest and most successful home improvement warehouse in the world ($10.5 billion last year), we are extremely cautious about who represents us as installers. Before placing our reputation at risk, we do a thorough background check on prospective installers, including a criminal investigation, credit history, driving history, supplier comments and customer satisfaction history.
Anderson Door and Window Mechanics was selected as an installer after these checks were completed satisfactorily. I have found their business practices to be sound, their work performance to be excellent and their office and field personnel to be friendly and professional. We are expanding in the Portland area building two more stores this year, and one more in the first quarter of the year. If ADWM can expand, I would strongly consider using them in all new stores as well as the Tigard location. I would not hesitate to recommend ADWM to anyone for their door and window installation needs.

When we first spoke to these homeowners, they were fuming mad about the imperfections in their patio door. We sent an initial service provider out there and they were not impressed with him at all. It made him, the Home Depot and Jeld-Wen look pretty bad.

Your company came out to re-fit my front door. I wanted to express my thanks for you for doing such a good job. Everyone I talked to was very polite and helpful.
For three years I have had problems with my front door. Either I could not get it open, or I couldn’t get it shut. I run a day care business out of my home so my door is used constantly. We all got used to leaning our shoulder into it to get it to open. If finally opens the way a door should. The men that came out were very courteous and professional. I hardly knew they were here. They took the time to show me what was wrong and why it was happening. They replaced the screws, cleaned up the mess and were on their way within an hour. I’ve worked with Anderson Door & Window Mechanics since 1996 when I was preparing my elderly parents’ house for sale. They helped spiff up some of the doors to increase the sale value. I enjoyed working with them so was happy to recommend them to my contractor during a later remodel on my own home. Anderson managed this small but tricky interior door replacement, providing a stain match and installation of custom art glass, resulting in a lovely art addition where there was once only an uninspiring panty door. They were very responsive to my concern that the door be ready for a family reunion and all for a reasonable price. Great value and great service! In 2006 my wife and I bought a 7 year old home which had several failed multi-pane windows. Moisture and mold were inside the panes and were just unpleasant to look through. We lived with these windows for almost 4 years before we decided to make fixing them a higher priority. We called several window repair companies to get bids. Two of them did not show up at their appointed times and never called to explain why. One came, looked at the job and just turned and walked away saying, “one of the windows is just too high off the ground for us to do.”
Oddly, this competitor suggested calling Anderson Door & Window Mechanics because they were the best at repairing windows. And we are so glad we did!! The Anderson estimator showed up right on time, was extremely professional and took the measurements. We promptly received an estimate by email. Once we finalized the job order, two terrific installers arrived 10 minutes early, the job was done within a very short time and for the exact amount as the estimate. We could not be more happy with our new window glass and Anderson’s service. I would use them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone.

People these days seem to find it so easy to complain about anything they can find to complain about. I am writing, conversely, to compliment you on what seems to be a well run company which can deliver what you offer-doors. I was recently burgled and made several calls to contractors and such. My door was easily kicked in, thieves took what they could hock and were gone. I had considered installing a metal frame for the door but the solution of a properly installed “bull-dog” strike plate was the way to go.
Your office coordinator who answers the phone was very helpful, considerate and expedient. She even called me at home well after 7 PM to advise me that someone would be out in the morning to do this emergency job. Mike, who was assigned to my case, showed up on time, did a good job and was even a decent guy to talk to. So there you have it. Job well done. Keep up the good work and continued success!

It is unusual for me to take the time to thank someone when a job is completed. The workmanship was excellent. Your serviceman was very polite as well as cleaned up afterward when the job was done. They type of service is very much appreciated.

I purchased a home last year which has beautiful wood windows. Unfortunately, I had a rude awakening this past winter. Almost every window and door in the house leaked air or water and then, I discovered, the windows have a manufacturing defect, which the home inspection report did not include.
After working with a very difficult manufacturer of the original windows on a few of the problems, I discovered Anderson Door & Window Mechanics, who then resolved all of my problems in a very timely manner.
The onsite review and estimating process was very detailed and accurate. The crew arrived on time, every day, and was very professional. Their craftsmanship was outstanding and in some cases, windows were rebuilt onsite. No lengthy waiting for a manufactureer to make and ship a replacement. Not matter the problem: dry rot, worn weatherstripping, rusted hinges, inoperable crank assemblies, or just the need for glazing, they were prepared with everything they needed. Superb workmanship.

We came home from spring break to find our front door was very difficult to open and would NOT re-close, once we mangaged to open it. Anderson door and Window Mechanics came out (the next day) and carefully assessed the door, figured out where it would need to be planed (it required planing on the top and one of the sides) and then rehung the door and it opened and closed perfectly.
I am a satisfied customer.

Phyllis & I are really happy with results we got from your outfit. Jon was a METICULOUS craftsman and a real gent. The window rides on those Pullman springs like a feather. The resultant opening when the sash is raised is actually wider than the original construction, due to the Pullman springs being able to reside next to the sash and not over it. I really feel like we got a bonus result working with you guys. Needless to say, if anyone asks me who to call in order to get an old window going again, Anderson Door & Window Mechanics will be my first recommendation.
